DESCRIPTION:The legacy of Polo runs deep in Colorado Springs\, and the Winter Polo Classic is the best display of heritage and sport around.  It's a timeless event that has brought diversity to the regions' sport economy and new life to the community as a whole.  Spencer Penrose is generally credited for bringing the sport to Colorado in the 1900's\n\n\n\nThe Broadmoor Winter Polo Classic bring polo back to the Pikes Peak region on February 21\, 2026\, at the Norris Penrose Event Center   brought to you by the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation\, as a first of its kind 4POLO Series Event.\n\n\n\nThe polo match will feature top polo players from around the country.  The Broadmoor Winter Polo Classic will adhere to most of the standard\, traditional polo regulations with the exception of  the tournament taking place in a dirt arena instead of a grass field.  Teams will be comprised of three players and play will consist of four 7-minute chukkers (periods).
